, officially known as the Town of Gilbert, Arizona, incorporated in 1920, is a fast growing town located in Maricopa County Southeast Valley of the Sun in the Phoenix Metro area. Gilbert is 1243 feet above sea level with average annual rainfall of 9.27 inches. Average temperature during the coldest month of December is a Hi/Lo of 67/40 degrees and during the warmest summer month of July is a Hi/Lo of 106/77 degrees.

Per the 2010 census, Gilbert has a population of 218,397 with an average age of 31.37. Due in part to 34.34% of the residents having attained a bachelor’s degree or higher, the Gilbert median household income is $86,077 - the highest among Arizona communities with population above 100,000.

In 2010 Gilbert, Arizona was named the Safest City in Arizona and the 24th Safest City in the U.S. and in 2012 both Money Magazine and BusinessWeek ranked Gilbert 33 out of the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S.
